Alberta

I spent the first part of my adult life travelling the world, the middle years studying  and now have settled down to write.

From the first part I have endless photographs and memories from the second I have a BSc Hons and a MA.  Now in this part everything comes together.

Over the years my interests have expanded, as has my book and music collection.  A short list would include reading (almost anything) science, opera, folk, gardening, philosophy, crazy patchwork, freeform crochet, ethics, social history, cooking (and eating of course) anthropology and of course climate change and sustainability.

My parents gave me, apart from a love of reading and music, an interest and curiosity  everything which in itself gives a total inability to be bored and for this I am always grateful.

Books by Alberta Ross in print and e-book versions

The Sefuty Chronicles, a future history in many aspects.  The format itself is set within Central archives of the 2160s  - a history project of events of 2111 -2136     A Cli-fi - The Sefuty Chronicles is set in a world devastated by The Great Climate Wars of the 2060s , when all changes except human nature. Those involved in the events  deal with an ecotopian world, with hope.

WIP : My works in progress this year are

The Ancestor's Tale - this will be the fourth in The Sefuty Chronicles.

Blue Moon (working title at the moment) which is  modern day novel I began during 2011 NaNoWrMo (the National Novel Writing Month), a write a 50,000 word novel in a month - crazy but fun.  Blue Moon needed more and a whole lot of editing but it comes along.

In 2012 during NaNo I began writing a fantasy - working title Menko - which I have a fondness for and if time allows I may well begin work on finishing this as well!:)

I am also working on another collection of short stories.

If you are interested in the progress of these, updates can be found on Alberta Ross and Facebook

 Where else to find me

I enjoy blogging as much as I enjoy talking- which is a lot:)

This blog is the home for my publications but I can also be found blogging about writing, editing and self publishing, indulging in blog hops and challenges over on alberta ross

I also blog on books that I have read and enjoyed, books that have influenced me during six decades+ of reading, other matters pertaining to books and book challenges I have joined over on alberta reads

Because over a lifetime of curiosity I have developed many interests which are not necessarily to do with writing or reading I use Did You Ever Kiss A Frog to blog about odd things that occur to me.  Dyspraxia, Living History, crafts, cooking, gardening and general observations on the magic of  life.

I can be found tweeting to my hearts contentment and I am also to be found on also on Facebook
